If for instance you are a mage (high lvl) an you summon a creature to fight for ya against a techie... does the summoned creature act as a magik item for purposes of not workin very well?

If it does then if ya give the creature a sword to use will that mean the penalty will be negated?

i'm not sure, but summoned creatures are creatures that already exists, right?

so you summon a creature from some otherplace to do your bidding, so in theory you could summon a creature that got a technology aptitude?

so i'm guessing that they are either neutral, or perhaps got some own thing for this(like follow thee summoner or something, or just a preset aptitude).

on the other hand, a high magick aptitude should make most spells run better, so does it mean that the summoned creature will be better, or just cheaper to maintain?

We may have to wait to find out- unless somebody knows how to fix the broken "summon orc" spell?

well, for some reason shellman answers Q from time to time, and well i think the pressure is somewhat less now then before, with the september release.

there is also the thing about the demo, since its release they have poped up more often then before, almost each day saying something about something.

Post-deadline relaxation. I'm sure some supervisor's gonna whiteboard a new work schedule soon and they'll be a little more scarce. Nice to see them actually using the demo to get feedback, though, instead of just trying to get ink in a gaming mag.

perhaps, the swedish version is looking ok though, so i doubt it.

they might have just asked some people to write the same thing, in many ways.

its not as the text in question changes.

oh, hehe, only the forum text changes, not the written text by the users :)

I think the only problems with things such as not being able to wear chainmail and the summon orc thing are missing graphics. If you had those sprites, the thing would work.

It's nice to see that the game protects itself though, rather than crashing if those files are missing.

I'm on my second round thru the demo now, and I've yet to have a single crash. But your point is well taken, St. P- nice error handling. As it happens, I've had little opportunity to see it- but I'm not gonna complain about that!

Yeah, rather than it allowing you to wear and armor there isn't a sprite for, it just won't let you wear it. It makes sure there's the sprite first.

    I haven't had a crash either.

I wouldn't want to have the chainmail in the demo. I only want the thing that Troika (or Sierra, not sure) wanted us to have. I don't want to have tried nearly all elements of the game when the final game is released.
