    why doesn't anyone make any Tech Boots or a Necklace?

    might be hard to explain Necklace but Boots should be easy to set bonuses and powers.

    maybe Necklace is just + Magick Resistance based on Tech lvl (maybe to powerful tho seeing as the Techie has a resistance based on his Tech lvl to start with and the Necklace would just do something like double it). + a shield already does that.

    I like the boots idea!

    Maybe Worn Boots and Steel could make for "Protective Footwear"...maybe add a bonus to defence or having a high resistance against fire and traps.

    Or Cushioned Boots (Worn Boots + Small Spring), the cushioning makes for quiet walking, thus a bonus on prowling.

    The Necklace could work with something like a Copper Ring and Small Wire to create an induction effect that grants a % of magic not working on the character.

    There are boots with the tech alignment. Those plates boots, they're tech.

    Hmm...I guess you could just add a schematic to make the Plate Boots from existing material then.

    They're not expensive. They're not hard to find. Why bother?

    Good point...so the boots would have to add some other aspect to be worthwhile.....

    Any Ideas?

    If there was any jumping in the game, spring shoes would be DA SHITZ!

    Silent Metal Boots
    Value 400
    HP 120
    Wt 50
    Tech Complexity Smithy / 10-20
    Damage Resistance +10
    Prowling +2*
    Speed -1

    *effected by Complexity

    sort of balanced and still someone would use a pair.

    1. Climbing Boots

    These boots give you the ability to climb mountains.

    2. Boots of Speed

    "You can hide, but you cannot run."

    3. Steel Boots*

    You can use these boots as a weapon.

    * New magical weapon: Steel "Groinbuster" Boots.

    1. No. Simply no.

    2. Maybe. Combining something electric like the capacitator with the fine stout boots/metal boots to enhance your running speed. "Charged Boots" (I'd use them). Wrong slogan, though.

    3. Weapon? Only when kicking, or what? Too complicated.

    What about some kind of mechanized legs, to enhance the dexterity/strength of low DX/STR characters (in the same way as the eye spectacles does).

    LOL! Worn boots and Charged rings make for Rapid Sandals! Yeah but the principle is sound...althought it might be a tad redundant with the Charged Rings anyway...

    Although...Magic Items are rendundant with their effects under certain combinations...

    Yeah...I could see that working..

    Like some kind of device to enhance pickpocketing... Like an extendable arm (gauntlet/item) to enhance the range (like some magical daggers does).

    How about a Magnetized Glove...that makes metal items and stuff stick to them...could be handy for lifting keys, coins, rings, etc...

    In game terms it would just grant a Pick Pocket bonus anyway,,,

    Steam Powered Boots

    Minute Steam Works + Metal Boots

    Dex +2 based on Tech lvl or +3 but Wt 500-550 to offset such high Dex.

    Steam powered boots sounds like a good idea if implemented for movement only, which would not work in real time combat. Seeing as dex increases speed which affects combat turns, having steam powered boots increase the number of time you fire your gun in turn-based seems kind of silly.
