Can these be found in the game?

They give a carry weight bonus of 500 and willpower penalty of 1.

Never seen them or heard about them. It's like the dwarven bountyhunters; maybe Troika figured that they weren't a that good idea after all but didn't have the willpower to delete them. Or something like that.

They are available, but the gypsies and the dark magic clerk only have them on like a 1% basis.

I knew I saw those before! I just never needed them, my character was a moose. The max load capacity is always 10,000. Aside from that, if anything, a teamster's will is TOO strong. If you've ever worked with a couple doing odd moving jobs and such, you'll know what I'm talking about.

I've never found a good use for them either - but the Amulet of Leadership - well that's another story. (You get an extra follower)

I'm sorry to say, but it's part of the Major Magic Treasure and has a low chance to showing up.

However - if you get the inventory hack for regular Arcanum, the dark magic clerk has one once in a while.

Be advised, although the amulet does allow you to have another follower - it also increases your followers reactions to you.

Increasing their reactions is never a big deal for me, I'm always on their "good" side. Of course, I'm always a tech character, too.

I gotta say....there should really be an item that you could plant on an NPC that would make then automatically become avaialbel followers:

I once used the Permanancy Trick to make a team consisting of Liana Del Par, Garrick Stout, Adkin Chambers, Doc Roberts and Clrassia Shalmo!
It was cool except for the fact that Doc Roberts kept complaing the whole time...

    Hmmmmm..... "The Amulet of Following"

That's just wicked enough to appeal to me.

Anybody up to the challenge of creating one that can be dropped into the Rules folder like a hack? (I'm not)

Is there any detailed documentaion on the rules folder?

If there's a programming logic to it I might be willing to take a stab at it!

At the moment, I don't know enough to be able to give you an honest answer. Take a look and let us know.

If you are using the Car Arcanum patch then you can get them at the Lucky Shrine, but there are better gloves than them.
