is there such a thing as not being able to be attacked in one's racial home ? if there is at least i won't be podded in 2000's ...

 

You can only avoid being podded if you have NEWBIE status.

However, the racial homes are fairly safe, as most hunters don't find it worth bothering with - they go for the more frequented sectors. However, you will find that trading and resourcing isn't too good in racial sectors, even if they are safe, because so many people stay there.

No problem on the cash Slagger - after all, our alliance looks after it's own as it's no good for us if you're really low level and in a cheap ship!

With a 1 billion credit Zallun battleship you would have a hard time doing that - even against scourge - if it was built correctly that is!

I've just reached a cool 1.8 billion credits! I'm thinking of getting a new ship now.

I posted this on Aozos, but it got buried, so I was wondering:

What do you all think of this for a ship?

I'm upgrading my ship, and after some serious thought, I've abandonned the Interceptor idea, even though it is cheaper, because it is a pure combat ship, and I won't be able to fall back on trading or resourcing if I need to.

In light of this, I've gone for a Ranger class ship. It's got less armour/shields/Armour Integrity, and thus less defence, but it's got much better firepower, and has decent hold size and gather rate for a combat ship.

I don't know much about the weapon systems in the game yet seeing as i wouldnt be able to hit the broadside of a battleship with anything at my level But I plan to be lookin at them soon, just outa interest if nothin else.
