Bleh! All the topics in the alliance forum are gone. I posted one in there... and it didn't show up.

Anyway, in it i pretty much wanted to know what the problems with 8207 were. I'm in its station right now and I don't really want to leave because of what ive heard...

CT as long as your under newbie protection your safe and by the time your not you should be able to handle your self, especially if you join the alliance as our corpulent law bringing leader will set you up rather nicely.

Anyway, even though TDZK is back, I'd still be wary for now. I don't think their troubles are over yet. I logged in just now to find that the two levels I'd gained and the cash I made for the alliance were gone. The hell? Well, I had a feeling that would happen. But that's all done with, time to move on, right? I'm not sure about that...

I check my messages and I have one from Sheriff. After reading it, I write up a reply and hit "Send". And I wait. And wait. And finally time out. I go back to favorites, click on my TDZK homepage link and wait. And wait. Before this, the game was moving snappy as hell, no lag at all, and then all of a sudden...

So, I'm going to hold off for a day or so, or until they post something on the homepage that they've addressed the problem. I didn't so much mind all the money that I traded for being lost, it was the two levels. Once you start getting towards level 20, they come alot slower. It cheesed my ass to go back to 17 from 19, almost 20.

 

What on Earth does cheesing someone's ass involve? You'd better tell me quick, because my battle donkey is looking a bit nervous.

I hope they don't rollback the db again. I got into the dodgy sector and out again without dying this morning, so I now have some shiney new, and expensive, holds.

 

Cheesed Ass is not the actual biological term. It's the slang phrase for when one experiences severe dissapointment causing one of the glands in the upper analacrum to secrete a fluid which, when combined with the lubricating juices in the colonoculus, smells like... Cheese, hence the term "Cheesed Ass". Ferret knows more about biology, so maybe he'll drop by and give us the Real Deal. An example of "Cheesed Ass" is having a remarkably realistic dream that you have one the lottery only to wake up and find that you are broke and you need to wash your sheets before the warm, cheezy liquids sets. Or, playing some online game, gaining a couple of hard earned levels and 150kk+ spacedollars only to have it taken away by a server fart.

I think we'll be safe if we stick around Slagger. He'll draw fire while we upgrade/trade in peace.

 

Yeah, that could be his job in the alliance. Sounds like he is pretty good at it Of course now that i have said that i will probably get podded as soon as i start playin hehe.

 

Slagger isn't in our alliance. Naturally, if he was a HoLer, we'd extend the same protection we offer all members¹ to help him avoid the poddings.

I have to admit to being a little glad we're not footing the bill for multiple poddings. At $30kk a time, that could hurt.

As for TDZK, they should be fine in a couple of days. They're just having difficulty adapting the database to the new server. I'd guess this involves things like changing all the links and making sure all the information is in the right place.
