TDZK is back!

So I noticed DU, so I noticed...

By the way guys (Milo and Fatman or anyone else who plays TDZK really), I'm now at 8207, which is where the good Sheriff told me to go, now what exactly do I do once I'm there?

What thing do I dock at? The port or the station? Am I even in the right place?

 

im at 8155 gathering resources now .. this game IS pretty fun ! hey btw whats our alliance password ? can i join ?

 

hmm ..what would be a good ship for a lower lvl'd player like me ? im busy getting funds for now ... but im lookin for a lvwer lvl'd ship which can be used for tradin and defend itself a little :-? ..any ideas ?

 

Slagger, I've PM'd you the alliance password. Once you have joined, check out the alliance forum for advice on what kind of ship to build.

Jar, the station is the one you want. It has the ships, bank and upgrades.

If I dock in the wrong place, I'm going to blame it on you, the interface, the overload of information, the lack of information, my mouse, basically everyone and everything to do with it except me .

 

At this point, I could point out the ease and competence with which all other TA users have adapted to their starfaring lives, but that would be mean, so I'll not mention it.

Read the help files! If you still have trouble after that, I'll be requiring you to turn over your copy of Civ and forever swear off strategy games.

And I'm nearly level 20 (yahoooo) that has taken me AGES!!!!

but when I reach that.... I will amass great amounts of cash and later on get my very own war-ship (preferably a destroyer.... lol)

 

Warship, once all of the TA people get very nice warships (and people from aozos) we should take on a planet for ourselves. Muahahaha. :minigun:

I tried to join yesterday but couldn't, and joined today. Unfortunatly, I have no idea what I'm doing. C'est la vie.

 

read the tutorials. you'd be surprised how much they help

yes it would be EXTREMELY hard to figure out if it wasnt for the tutorials. It is kinda hard to get started USING the tutorials much less without them.

 

Not only is TDZK back, but it seems faster than it was. I can actually sit there and play the game rather than clicking, getting something to eat. Click, go to the bathroom. Click, watch a half-hour TV show.

 

lol, yeah it does seem faster. Still kinda slow with my 56k modem. ACK! I live outside the city limits and cant get cable or dsl. Hopefully one or both will expand out to where i am.

 

If you have the money, you could get a satellite link. Then again, who has that kind of money?

 

I did. ^_^ I'm still pretty confused though.

 

Youll get the hang of it sooner or.... eventually.

 

Satellite is high bandwidth but also high delay. He wouldn't see much of an improvement in connection speeds.

Also, Sheriff, the reason I appear to be so slow to pick this up is, I don't like making mistakes, wasting turns and stuff. I've played Archmage before, so it's not like this is my first time playing this sort of thing.

I've also got a test tomorrow night, so after that I'll be able to play some more. Until then, I'll just be getting lots of turns .
