Especially when you're not sure what you're doing. May be I just won't file mine... hehe, just kidding... But seriously, a flat tax would be great... Imagine if sales tax was twice what it is now in every state, but you kept all your money? The government could tax everyone, including people that don't normally pay taxes, like drug dealers, etc... That would kick ass. <edit> I'm sure theres some unforseeable drawback I'm not thinking of... but who cares, its better than paperwork.
So, how much money are we really talking about? Is it just a few dollars, or is the prize on your head bigger than Osamas? 25% Sales tax is the way to go! How... strange the typo made that sentence.
True, it did. Actually, here in Washington that's (Q, fix me if I'm wrong) .8%? I'm *fairly* sure that's the sales-tax for us. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong. 25%? wow, that's... quite a bit to pay, almost a fourth of it in taxes, holy shit. lol
I still owe money to the tax department here from last year. I've got to get around to paying them ones of these days...
Australia has an awesome tax system, no way of cheating out of it, 1/3 (approx) is taken out of your pay and you get full health care and tons of other stuff, and only 10% max gst.
Sure, 1/3 if you make shit all money. Closer to a half once you start getting a decent salary. The public health care system is also going down the shitter.
Meh, we still get lots of benefits from it though, although we pay for education in our taxes even when we go to a privately owned school (like me ^_^)
hahah, you maintstream-late-tax-return-turning-in faggots. I turned mine in back in feb, and i got a $1200 return direct deposited into my bank account. ... .. . acutally no. I got raped on taxes, but at least I'm not running to the post office at midnight this year.
Well, if there is one good thing about the Aussie tax system, it's that there's no real due-by date. As long as it's around the right time period, the ATO doesn't care (at least in my experience).
