Stupid character editor *grumble*

Right, so I haven't used the character editor in a while. I started it up today and for some reason it's not reading my saves properly: It says my character is half the level it is (16 instead of 32 for instance) and all the stats are at meaninglessly high numbers (intelligence at 72, perception at 248, and so on). Moreover, when I try to enter the skills screens it says the file is read-only, and the editor closes.

I can't raise any stats (they seem to be at maximum), and any changes made don't show up when the save is loaded in Arcanum.

What the hell? Never had any trouble with it before.

 

Have you tried deleting the directory and unzipping it again?

Make sure you read the readme.

There isn't anything in the readme about this; I did actually read it before posting. It worked fine, then I didn't touch it for maybe eight months, and now all of a sudden it's not working anymore.
