aeolas is from the hercules show. it's his short side-kick. poor kid. if you're gonna choose a cracked-out name, couldn't you go with Zeus, or something?

 

I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt and assuming he named the kid after the god of winds rather than a television show sidekick.

I know this is gravedigging, but I felt the need to reply! His name is Corbin, which means raven. The Aeolas and Paul are middle names which are used to denote how much trouble the child is in when they are being yelled at. And like canis said Aeolas is from mythology(although the Greek spelling is Aeolos and Latin is Aeolus), the god of the south winds, a son of Posiedon. The Paul is my middle name which is also the middle name of my grandfather and his father. And when naming him, I never considered the parallel to The Fifth Element which hence would mean that EVERY name came from some movie(good luck finding a name that ISNT in a movie, or name of movie char). Besides...my son wont grow up having 5 ppl with the same name in his class, nor will he go through life knowing 300 other ppl with the same name!!

 

hey, i'm not really knocking your choice of names, i was just curious. i like the name Corbin. besides, i'm probably the only person in the world so obsessed with The Fifth Element that that's the first thing to pop into my mind...

 

Actually, when I read that I thought Fifth Element straight off as well.
