my steam account has 4 games on it (HL:Source, CS:S, DoD:S, and HL2DM)
i haven't used it in many months, and i seem to have forgotten my password. So i clicked on "recover forgotten account" and it sent me my recovery question - what is your pets name. the problem is, i didn't make the answer my pets name, i just hit a bunch of random keys. so yea, steam account byebye :(:(:(:(

my question: anyone know a way to run my games without steam? like you know, how a NORMAL FUCKING GAME is supposed to run?

Those password recovery questions are serious stuff.

Your games are supposed to be stored in .../Steam/steamapps/common

im assuming you think i have bootleg copies of the games? well i don't, and if i did i would download torrents that have the steam already removed.

I think he's refering to the fact that you didn't answer your account recovery question in the manner it was meant to be answered. So now instead of a tool used to help you regain access to your account, it's another unintentional hinderance, along with your poor memory, that's keeping you from it. To sum that up in a single word.....FAILURE.
