I have virgil, magnus, sog mead mugg and chukka in my party. Im currently trying to steal the idol of kree, but i just noticed that my party members are starting to hate me after killing the barbarians. The blood thirsty ones that attack me on sight.

Whats going on here? Is this a bug?

You forgot to patch your game.

The barbarians had positive alignment in the original release. Even after the official patch, IIRC two of them were still marked as 'good', this was finally fixed in the UAP.

I gues sthere was a patch conflict because this was after i ran the installer...i deleted all the sub folders and did a complete re-install. That fixed it.

Is there any way to raise their reaction back up?

Fate points, upping your beauty, given Magnus some dwarvern snuff and tickling his bollocks a little - those sort of things normally do the trick.

Odd. The bollocks thing never worked for me.

Oh so thats what stuff like dwarven snuff is for. How do i give it to him, just put it in his inventory? Is there a list of items that you can bribe followers with?

A bribe can only be given to a follower via a dialogue line which becomes available among the questions one can ask him when his reaction drops enough (below 30 or so, if I recall correctly).

You ask a follower what's wrong and what can be done to make him happy, he suggest a specific bribe, you give him the bribe, rainbows everywhere.

    Indeed.

That + absinthe for Surly Virgil, according to Canis.

Clearly Muro, you simply weren't tickling said bollocks the way the owner of the aforementioned bollocks likes them to be tickled.

In my original playthrough of Arcanum back in the day, Magnus' self-righteousness got so annoying I quicksaved the game and then shot him right in his sanctimonious face, killing him in one turn. I giggled so hard I decided to just keep going on from there without reloading.

If you read between the lines in Roan's Almanac of All Things Dwarven, eventually you'll learn how best to satisfy his needs.
