Star Gems - Any Value?

I noticed that in some quests you find a star shaped gem.

I've found a Star Saphire, and a Star Ruby.

Do they have any special use?

Someone noticed these gems before?



(Yikes! I'm a bow man now! Have I spent so much time here in less than a month? )

 

They just sell for nice cash. Other than that, they don't count for anything as far as I know.

 

They don't count for crap I keep those stupid things until near the end of the game thinking they had some "hidden" use! all they did was waste space but they did come in handy once when i thought I was broke and said screw it and sold them for good mola :hump:

 

Pretty, they are good for pretty. Don't you colect pretty rocks?

As for star sapphire it might be required for one of the altars in case you're interested in doing ultimate blessing quest. General rule: When you find a stone/some other rare object store a sample it in some chest at an inn. When you begin ultimate blessing quest it'll make things much easier. It'll help you avoid situations like lizzz, just one freaking black diamond! Is it so much to ask?!"

 

Torg won't accept the star ruby. Just thought I'd let you guys know.

Dearest Nbrosz, Torg will also take a ruby pendant or ring as well.

 

A good policy to have regarding gems is - if you've never seen one before, hold on to it. Try to get a few of everything. Keep them in a chest somewhere so they don't weigh you down.

After that, though, you might as well sell them unless you're role-playing it and your char is a gem freak.
