This isn't the first time I've lost potential cognitive development due to something so stupid. Allow me to explain. Waiting for a literature lesson to begin, I was met with sheer disappointment as in walked the resident nurse and support officer. They emptied a bag onto one of the desks, producing as many forms of contraception as can be conceived (pun intended) and a demonstrative dildo.

Either the atmosphere disappeared and drew me into a vortex of nothingness, or I just stopped noticing the pleasant day. I have a few questions, then this rant/query can be lost to the depths as any see fit (assuming 'tl;dr' and padlock are absent from the offset).

    1. Is it standard practice to sacrifice an academic lesson for the sake of loose idiots?

    2. Was it rude of me to get up and walk out, uttering 'You're a few years too late here.'?

    3. I have two alternatives to attending the second year at that place. Spend the summer working to save up and spend time studying abroad (assuming swine flu won't cause a black hole and consume the world), or devote all of that time out of luxury, finishing writing a novel manuscript, and hoping it's successful. I'm confident of its quality but working and writing enough and with the quality to be published is difficult. What would you do?

Alternatively, considering this is teh intornetz, feel free to offer a unique solution.

    1. It is, although it bloody well shouldn't.

    2. Of course not, your reaction was entirely logical.

    3. Work on the novel. Novel good. (Goddamnit I need November back I write so much better with time limitations.)

Hmm...suddenly springing to mind is the 4000 word essay I did in one evening. Writing under pressure brings out the best but I always feel like breaking something when I get stuck. That late rush was Arcanum's fault, actually. I never did get over the addiction. Always resurfaces when I have work to do! Though, I think I'll take to writing by a relaxed quota. My life needs some order.

I appreciate the reply though, and it's nice to know I'm not the only one whose real life PE and IN are above 8.

...That could be the worst thing I've ever said.

*claps hands* One of us! One of us!

That's not even close to the geekiest thing I've ever said. The following isn't the geekiest thing I've ever said, but a rather interesting insight into the workings of my mind, especially when I'm distracted.

There are some seriously heavy-duty Twilight fangirls in my class. I DO NOT GET the Edward thing at all. He's a creepy dominating controlling bastard, and nobody seems to see that. So I made the mistake of asking said girls what the appeal of Edward was.

    *wince*

After quite a lot of rambling about chisled features and brooding and how romantic it all was, my ever-higher eyebrow apparently informed them that I wasn't buying it, so one of them said the funniest thing I've ever heard and the line that prompted my geek moment:

"Who wouldn't want a boyfriend who sparkles like diamonds in the sun?"

I cracked up, and when I finally got my breath back, my response: "No thanks, my tastes go more in the direction of smart, snarky, and kind of insane. Mmmm, Rodney McKay..."

    *shame*

I can pretty much establish my opinion of Twilight and its contents in one word: Why? - I already had a bad opinion of most girls and their standards before the invention of that flawless countenance. Quite gladly though, I'm a happy loner and said opinions don't bother me.

But, insanity all the way! How I'd react to the bizarre sparkly diamond thing...not very sociably, I can at least assume. Perhaps I'd feel embarrassed enough for two by the fact that someone said something so strange. Or similar to yourself, but perhaps without the reference to Rodney McKay...

Why oh why do I know these references? ._.

*Looks at the clock.* I hate the human requirement of sleep. Ah well, I'm sure I'll always find another time to procrastinate tomorrow. Thank you for cheering me up to fuel better dreams than would have been had. Throw in a little violence towards the people from today and I'll even wake up smiling! *Grins.*

Edward Cullen is a stalker. He keeps following Bella around and telling her to stay away from him. She does by going to Seatle and he fucking follows her there and tells her to stay away from him there as well!!

I guess, not having seem the original trailer, that movie lacked "zam" to me.

And I'm sure as hell not going to subject myself to the original horror just for a video, funny though it may be with the right context.

Don't, Philes. It will steal precious brain cells better spent on other things, like, oh, I dunno, learning the 'Arnold Rimmer Song' by rote or trying to make the Vulcan Nerve Pinch actually work or sending creepy stalker-mail to the sci-fi babe of your choice or watching DBZ...

Well. Maybe not that last one. But you get the idea.

Ah, Alice Cullen. The only character from those mother-fuckin' books and movies who I don't want to kill with a stake gun.

I'm not the only one! Thank...um, wait, which deity's the real one again?
...I'll just bypass the problem and thank Hulk Hogan.

Then I believe I've found my new religion.
Thank Xz for the comforts of insanity, and overly-buttered toast. Mmm.
