Disclaimer: First off, I was kinda worried about posting, what with all the flaming and the dichotmous conundrum of people being yelled at for not searching for the topic to which to post on one hand and being yelled at for gravedigging on the other, but, heck, I thought some of what I noticed might not have been noticed before and that some might enjoy it. And no, that's not a run-on sentence. Second, I know the game's been out for while, but Amazon won't deliver to Prague and I couldn't find a copy. Thus, if what I noticed while playing has hitherto been mentioned, I apologize. Guess I didn't search well enough. Third, I know you can't really "do everything" in such an open ended game. That's why I wrote tried and put "do everything" in quotes. Now flame away. Anyway, here goes:

    BTW, playing patched.
Tried to finish the Wisp Essence quest, but the dialogue wouldn't let me offer it.

The inventor who made the flying machines offered to make me a nice repeating rifle if I brought the ingredients. I did so. No dialogue to initiate. He just wanted to repair things.

There is an infinite experience bug with Jason C. in the Roseborough Inn. After you finish with the Vendigroth Ruins, tell him about the ancient technology. Get 2500xp. Tell him again. Get 2500xp. Wash, rinse, repeat. Useful to get your followers up to 50, if that's your style.

After getting both melee and dodge mastery, I ended up with a weird bug. I escorted that lovely lady, then went back to tell the dodge master to join her and he demainded I kill the long-dead Melee Master. He didn't want to talk about anything but eyeballs, sweet eyeballs.

Also, has anybody else gotten all the other banished creatures to fight on your side in the final battle?

And anybody else notice that if you do both the persuasion master quest and the Lianna/Maximillian quest, Cumbria is both great and mighty and crumbling under the cruel yoke of Tarant in the endings?

And I searched and searched, but could not find (here and in-game): has anyone actually gotten the lesser god ending? How, what, etc.? I was all good and had Valorian's blessing.

Oh, and if you never talk to that halfling in Ashbury with the wife problem, he attacks you, I guess to vent his frustrations or something.

One more thing: Virgil never left me. Is that normal? Maybe 20CHA did it?

    Best, y'all

I did do both quests, among others, but in 'my' ending Cumria is restored, tech allowed and all is well and due to the persuasion master quest both Caladon and Tarant prospered as well.
    Nothing about Cumbria crumbling anywhere.

Did you compromise on every point? I had CHA20 and Persuasion 5 on the Peruasion master quest, so I gambled a little and went for more benefits for Tarant. He paid me 9000 gold for my work instead of the (I believe) standard 5000.

Useless. By that time me and my party could reach 50 twice, if only the level cap allowed.

It's a bug with the Will'o'wisp thing, I did it, it was fine.

There's another fix for Maxim, you can get it at Dimensions of Arcanum. You need to install the Mechanized Gun fix because the patch didn't correct the problem.

If you REALLY need to use that experience trick by the time your about to jump into the void then you have otehr problems.

You fucked up talking to him, if you had talked to him right then he wouldn't be like that.

Yes, Arronax rocks, Gorgoth is strong, but he wants to eat to much and pisses me off. Krakatur is awesome and I love his scaly little body.

I did it and Cumbria was fine, no crumbling. Max came back, kicked the Praetor's ass, and all's well.

If you had searched, and searched, and searched, you would have found it.

Some of the people in Ashbury were accidently set to attack on site, like most monsters. Stupid hick Ashbury people.

That's a bug, 20Ch doesn't make Virgil stay. If you sided with the Dark Elves, there is a somewhat known glich that gets the game all gayified. If you have it, talk to him in game and it SHOULD, emphasis on should, clear up, and he will leave.

You didn't search all that well, 99% of this stuff has been covered in my short time here, and the other 1 %, surely before I came. You can't be gravedigging, you made this topic, grave digging is what this kid in the Mod Opinions area just did and ressurected a topic that hadn't been posted in 9 months.

Flame, flame, flame, your bad, flame, flame.

Then you must have been playing on easy (which gives more xp per hit) or have spent a LOT of time wandering the wilderness. I went to every location in the game except for a coupla master quest specific ones, and some of the later party members I picked up were only in their high 30s at that point. I was 50, Virgil was 50, and Sogg was 50, but no one else.

1)There is PLENTY of places where you can gain several levels. You can gain up to 10 levels near Liam's portal, for example.
2)Try to get your followers when they are the same level as you are. Takes a bit of planning and being a chicken in fights, but it also saves a lot of hassle in the long run.

Alo, if your planning on doing EVERYTHING in a game, or as close to everything as possible, then you are going to rack up the quest experience very quickly. I know, not even doing Liam's portal I was like level 19 by the time I first reached Tarant, because of quests in Blackroot, Dernholm, Shrouded Hills, and one little expedition to the Wolf's Cave. I did get stopped a couple of times, you know, bears, Molochean Hand, Orcs, occasional Kite, (I HATE those little shits!!! :x :-x :x :minigun: ) you know the sort. That doesn't even mention the amount of quests you get in Tarant, jesus christ! That and the sewers! If you look for levels in Arcanum, you will DEFINATELY find them.

I try and save the liam's portal thing for when I get my final group set. Loghaire is chillin with me, Raven wants to bone me, Virgil is only there because I'm a big softy, Sodd enough said, the other hot elf chick Zin'Alurin? is there, and of course Gar and Dog are there. I save the portal, so that, since I'm already at 50, I can use the levels to round out everone else.

Yes, except that earning levels at 50 takes longer than it does at 20.

Where is the Bane of Kree though. I know you CAN get him, but I never found him. I got up to Kraka'tur but after that the next portal sent me back to the start. I did find Kerghan's Sword, and I love it oh so dearly, but isn't there supposed to be another blade somewhere? I never found that one.

    On yet another island.

It is in the hands of Mr. Bane. Or would that be Mr. Kree?
