Was playing through the game and came across a half-orge on the isl of despair from what I learned from him I gathered he is one of the Half-orge from the Tarant X-files quest, he said he never seems to get any books on the island. I not far enough in to the game to finish the Tarant quest and not sure if he has somthing to do with it. Thanks again for your help eailer
Book... The book he's looking for is in a barrel on the dock next to the ship you took to the island. As far as I know you have to get it before you leave for the island, as I was unable to finish this quest after leaving the island. I didn't think to pick the lock on a barrel, until after I'd returned to the docks. Hope this helps.
Book for Half-Ogre... You must talk to the Half-Ogre guarding the door on the Isle of Despair. Not sure what is required to have him ask you about books, but it was only a "Mentioned" quest for me, so I really didn't mind failing it too much. I suggest when you talk to him, just try everything in the dialog, and he'll ask you to bring him a book in one of the choices.
Ya sure the half ogre gave you that? The human doorguard is the one who gives out the sorcerous beast quest.
Half-Ogre Guard... The guard I'm referring to is the one that tells you that you must fight in the pit to see the leader. I suck at remembering names, so I can't tell you anyone's name, but you should know who I mean now.
