You must have missed something. You can only persuade Loghaire to come out of the Dredge when you talk to him FOR THE FIRST TIME. To do that, you need to have high INT when you first talk to his son Randver, and make him explain to you the whole thing about the Stone and the Shape. To talk to Loghaire himself you need 3 CPs and an Expert status in Persuasion- and drag the convo into Shape and Stone discussion. JUdging by your stats, its too late for you.

In that case, how come that you're a master in persuasion? Willoughsby only shows up in Tarant after you've been to Quintarra... and that quest is given to you by, ehum, Loghaire.

    Did you force Quintarra?

In that case, just consult Solaris post. You could always give it a try, although nothing can be guaranteed when you're using hacks... it should work, but there's always a risk that you won't be able to speak with Randver about Shape and Stone.

I'm not the one to be anal about searching, but this horse has been dug up and beaten to death some billion times already. I think you should had known that by now...

Good luck with Loghaire though :)

The editor doesn't do anything to gameplay. It focuses on the character's skills, not anything else, so it doesn't have the adverse affects the level cap does.

The level cap basically makes it so that you're max level is no longer 50. There are 2, one gives you level 100 I think, and the other gives you like 132. Only problem is that this has a tendancy to fuck up a giant bucketload of crap in the game. I don't even know all the glitches it causes, and that's bad, because I usually know just about everything when it comes to fucking up Arcanum.

I played the patched version with no level cap, and pretty much nothing went wrong. Well, that's not true, nothing that doesn't go wrong in the regular version went wrong.

Then you're either insanely lucky or just too blind too notice the bugs.

I'll pick blind, if it's all the same to you. In fact, I'm too blind to see my keyboard or monitordlsfkjW;sgkjh's;digh';sdkgsdlkg, so I just type anything that comes to mind.

OK, I have a mace now, not a stupid shortsword, so I can stop with my stupid spamposts.

I have a level-capper, and didn't know it, so I had a level 60 tech/mage when I should've only been level 50... but anyway! I haven't experianced any major problems with it... in the beginning I wasn't able to get past the elven dude who tries to kill you, but hey, a molotov and that was dealt with... well, then I had Virgl rush him, which was fun... :) and other than that I've experianced no glitches with my Level-Capper.

Silly question -- where can I get that savegame editor? I just tried, and all I get is a large number of variations on the same sight, with no functional links.

    edit:

Nevermind, just got lucky (persistence pays off... at page 9 or so...

    edit edit:

Nevermine the nevermind - there is supposed to be V 1.8, and I've only got 1.3...
