I quick passing through my Bible yielded passages that indicate to me that circumcision is inconsequential. I cannot determine why Moses started the fad in the first place.

That is not to say that there isn't a passage that better defends circumcision, just that I have not found it.

I have no idea. My readings revealed to me the Moses brought circumcision to the people the Bible concerns itself with. I do not know where Moses got it.
