Don't you keep multiple unique saves so you can reload instead of restarting? Anyway, did you look in the download section of Terra Arcanum? Get the "spell eye candy hack". Works wonders. I even edited it further to remove the vertigo effect from the Chapeau, but that's beside the point. Lots of goodies at this site. It's much more than a forum, and it would be a pity to let it all go unnoticed.
Actually, Canis, that's very interesting to me since that darn vertigo effect keeps me from using the Chapeau for fear of getting a migraine. Would you mind telling me how to edit that to get rid of it, please?
Uh.... hmm. Okay, I think it goes like this: Open up SpellEyeCandy.mes, and find the spot that goes: Replace it with this: Basically you just want to get rid of the Destination info. Important thing: Don't install this while you're wearing the Chapeau! Upon removing the Chapeau the vertigo effect will stay forever. Make sure nobody in your party is wearing it (in the inventory is okay, just not equipped), make the change, and everything should be okay. I don't recall what happens if you make the change while Mrs. Cameron is wearing it.... It's been a while. But I've had it like this for many months with no adverse effects, not even on her. I could email it to you if you prefer.
Yes...but I'm still in tarrant, I don't want to make a new save every 5 minutes.... I know I should if I'm going to be testing this.... I saw it, but I didn't read the discription...I just assumed a spelleyecandy patch would fix graphics :???:

Yeah, thanks canis, the spelleyecandy thing is just what I wanted I don't have a problem with the vitego effect...but it's nice to know I can fix it if I ever do
