Or since that Chinese food is actually Americanized Chinese food and not at all like authentic Chinese food, and since the Mexican is more likely to use actual chicken as opposed to the Chinese guy who's now down a stray cat, I've never really had a problem with it.

 

yeah, food court fare can be served by pretty much any desperate crazy who can fill in an application. but i agree on the two degrees thing with authentic fare. i only eat fried chicken prepared by black people and tacos made by mexicans. when it comes to oriental, though, i have no idea what species they're claiming, so if they say they serve vietnamese, and they look like they come from somewhere in asia, i just roll with it.

 

I was out with the sisters last night. We were trying to decide where to eat, and when I mentioned KFC, the younger one just shook her head and said, "You want something done right, you gotta do it yourself."

 

Once I was asked to prepare latkes (the special Jewish potato pancake) for a bit of a celebration after my girlfriend's temple group. I'm not a jew, so there had to be a jewish person in there with me. While latkes aren't hard to make, apparently I make the best latkes the group had ever eaten. But they're still pretty gross to me.
