At least someone accomplished my new years resolution. Looks like it's easy sailing for me until 2011.

Winter's been quite manly so far I'd say. When we left from Åre this morning, the temperature was at a nippy -35 celsius, which is awesome in my book.

And according to the news bills, things will get even better throughout January!

I'm still waiting for winter to kick in on the east coast. We've had 6 total inches of snow over the past 3 months, and I think that's a damned cop-out. Sure, there've been nights where we were close to 0 fahrenheit, but what fun is that if you don't need to worry about driving into a snow drift?

I hear ya, Gross. We've only received a little over a foot in central MA. It's sad :(

Close to a foot over the past week near Pittsburgh, and an ass ton more coming this weekend...so the story goes.

Well, I did indeed forget to mention the weather being more wintery in southern PA (Philly got about a foot not too long ago). For some reason, there's been less precipitation up north this year. Damned weather. Is a single snowman too much to ask? A short one, even...perhaps a Dwarf Man.

It was +20C here in Istanbul on New Year.

    It's around 10C now.

It's fucking retarded. It used to snow at these days when I was a child.

50 F and alternating between pea-soup fog and drizzling rain in the Rogue Valley.

Is the consensus that global warming is a real threat, then?

It is not that cold here in Fryslan; it's now only -11c. At least we did have a white Christmas here. (Hooray.)

Global warming is a natural course of action for the world, we're just speeding it up right now. We're at the end of an ice-age, so naturally things are going to warm up. Don't worry about the earth, it'll shrug us off when we've overstayed our welcome. Remember the dinosaurs?

If anyone cares, summer has finally 'hit' here. Reached 30 today, I'm sittin here at 4 in the afternoon unable to move because of this bloody migraine.

I'd happily trade with anyone who's a little cold right now.

For Tasmania thats pretty damn hot.

My opinion of this Summer overall is that it does not seem to be as hot as the last one, the Summer of 2008-2009 was a nightmare, it got so hot my PC gave up and died in my crappy little room with no A/C.
