Snake Booze

Only the male platypus has venom glands, and they're on it's hind legs attached to hollow spurs. Since the venom production speeds up during mating season, it's thought that the spurs are used mainly to assert male dominance over competitors. When people are injected with it, the area swells up nearly instantly and hurts like a bitch for a while, up to several weeks after the fact. It's not fatal to humans, but can definitely kill smaller animals.
As for whiskey, I think something along the lines of Yukon Jack would work. It's extremely smooth and has a high alcohol content (100 proof). Of course, if you're still into using vodka, go with Devil Springs. It's at 160 proof, so I'm thinking venom osmosis would turn out fairly well and pretty quickly.

 

DE: Next time you're at a pub, ask everyone at the bar if they're up for a round of Snakebites, then if anyone wants one, whip that bottle out and shout "Then bottoms up motherfuckers!"

 

QED. I can't tell you how many times an otherwise decent animal skull I've found was damaged due to a high-speed collision with death. The worst was my favorite cat, because I told him that if he died I'd save his skull. Getting hit by a car fucked that over pretty well.

 

I always wanted a necklace made of rattlesnake rattlers. That just made me think of it for some reason.
