This is the best thread for discussion stuff.

Apperently it is morning, and I'm still alive.

No it hadn't, and I'm sorry if my reply came off as confrontational or me being annoyed. I only meant to express amusement regarding the post pattern of this forum or of indeed every forum I've ever visited.

Anyhow, thank you Grossenschwamm and have an extraordinary morning. Hell, why don't you all have an extraordinary morning.

My mornings always come in the evenings.
Except on my days off when I have to placate the Accursed DayStar and run errands during the day when everyone else is awake.
    Stupid DayStar.

    Good Morning.

I agree, though I myself am here mostly on evenings because I sleep away mornings so far as to waking up in the noon. And how often do you hear someone saying "Good noon" on this thread, when it is about mornings?
Maybe I ought to try saying something else for a change...

    Good riddance!

Today was PC maintenance/update day for me. Replaced some aging drives, transfered the OS to a new drive, cleaned out a shload of old files and programs, and updated to Windows 10. So far, I'd say it's roughly on par with Windows 7, but still has some kinks to work out. Visually, it's very similar to Windows 7, with a few splashes of Windows 8 faggery thrown in here and there. Cortana is fun to talk at, at least when she's functioning properly.

    Good night.

Some older relatives were asking me recently whether they should take advantage of the free upgrade to Windows 10. They're currently on 7. So now I'll be able to tell them that some guy on the internet says it should be fine. Thanks, Japes.

    Good morning.

It's great that Microsoft has finally moved away from that cursed Windows 8...

The free upgrade to Windows 10 is good for a year, so give it a few months to stabilize, then you can wake up to good mornings.

I mean, if you want to take what I said as an endorsement, that's gonna be your problem when your aged relatives can't get something to work right and call you for help. So yeah, it should be fine.

Quibbles aside, my biggest frustration with it so far has been permissions. Apparently, the Windows 10 ethos is "All Data Is Sacred," because whatever it did to the permissions on all my files and folders makes them inalterable, or in some cases inaccessible, to Steam games. I was dicking around in Skyrim for about 20 minutes before I realized that when I clicked "save game," it wasn't actually saving anything. Tried running as administrator, but that just put me in a launcher loop. Ended up having to change the permissions on the saved game directory to allow users other than myself full control of the files. Windows 10 also decided that EVERYTHING in my Documents directory should be read-only by default, so I had to untick that box as well.

    Good Day.

I was going for more of a Paul Harvey style "good day," but I guess that didn't come through in the text.

Oh, I wasn't trying to interpret your intentions one way or another, it's just whenever I hear "Good Day" that's what my brain goes straight to.

    Good super late evening.

Whenever I see "Good morning" written down in this thread, I think of this thread.

    Good morning.
