I'm tired almost every morning. In fact I don't like mornings at all in general. I also dislike social niceties. In fact, now that I think about it, this whole thread is the most egregious misrepresentation of my personality that there could possibly be.

Be that as it may, saying "Morning is" doesn't have nearly the same ring to it as Good morning.

 

But Good morning is so ambiguous.
Are you stating a fact that something about this particular morning in general is better than the norm?
Are you wishing the target of your social nicety a better than average morning?
Are you crowing by stating that your morning has been better than theirs?
