Turns out we had another bloodless coup in Australia last night. Our PM is now the enemy of my enemy, instead of the enemy of my enemy's enemy, which was confusing.

It's a bit like Jesus in modern folklore. He defeated the Evil One in 2007 and now he has returned to fight the final battle.

I don't usually venerate politicians at all, but the enemy of my enemy is someone I can vote for.

tl;dr - australian politics became quite interesting last night.

Good Morning, Tony Abbot, Gina Rhinehart and Rupert Murdoch. I trust you're choking on your own poison today :D

I thought Obama was elected in 2008, not 2007.

    Good morning.

    Re:

To say the least. Mind clarifying?

The liberals appear to be conservatives, while the labour party seems to be giving up on socialist ideas (due to right wing media domination?) as they so often do. Examples I've noted include favouring tax cuts and reducing government spending, allowing privatisation of services that are government run, as well as severely crippling the trade unions. Don't you have any left wing parties?

That Kevin Rudd fellow seems to be better than most though.

    Good night.

To clarify, John Howard was PM for twelve years, from the time I was 18 to when I was 30. He was George W's bitch in war crimes, and the darling of Murdoch's media.

O god how I hated him. Then Rudd got in (on the same wave of natural law as Obama) and there was much rejoicing.

But then 1) Rudd tried to tax the mining magnates; 2) they responded with a shock and awe advertisement saturation bombing; 3) Rudd's popularity dropped in the polls and; 4) the deputy PM, julia gillard, ousted him overnight, making her not only my enemy's enemy, but also the enemy of my enemy's enemy.

It did lead to a hung parliament, where the Green Party held some balance of power, which was nice. However, the new enemy, tony abbot, has been ahead in the polls for months, and it's an election year, so Rudd was reinstalled last week to make the fight more interesting.

Anyway, I vote Green, but with the two major parties, it's a choice between my enemy and my enemy's enemy, and Abbot is, by all accounts, the most regressive fascist the conservatives have fielded since the fifties.

He was, amongst other failings, born in England and a young conservative at Oxford. Eww.

What are you talking about? Whether he is upbraiding the English for being innately superior, or schooling the ignorant on the merits of Sanskit, ytzk is always unfailingly polite.

    Good morning.

I am busy lamenting the death of Google Reader and the various amounts of racket going on outside the flat.

    But good afternoon, anyway.

That picture is silly, because in real life a cat couldn't give a bath to a chicken and a frog at the same time, because chickens like bubble bath but frogs don't, because the bubbles remind them of frog spawn so then it's like they're bathing in their own young.

    Good morning.

I don't know, I don't think frogs are too picky - one time when I was younger I saw 4 male frogs all clinging on and trying to mate with a single dead female.

On that cheering/appetising note, good afternoon.
