So 3000+ posts and 180,000+ views, what is this thread a monument to? Tell me!!

I mean the Cube had the obvious answer, but I'm open to suggestions (and spoilers for the end of the Cube - Phillip Schofield was gay all along [UK only reference I suppose]. But genuinely that link has spoilers for the end of the Cube movie).

    And... Good Morning.

The funny thing about watching Rocky IV today is that it depicts the US sportsman as having no funding and training basically by himself in a wooden shack in the middle of the Siberian wilderness, while the Soviet counterpart has super high tech machinery and a team of medical experts backing him. It's so contrary to the political reality of the time, and yet seemed totally plausible to a Western audience gripped by cold-war fear of the power of communism.

    Good morning.

Wow Dark Elf, it looks like the gender re-assignment surgery went really well. Congrats.

    And good morning.

Smuel's mean-spirited comments about my gender fluidity made me go back in time and become a drunk Orson Welles. How dare you?

    Good day.

Was the outer worlds actually good or was it over hyped? Besides this announcement it sort of just fell of the face of the internet after it released.

I really liked it. The humour was what you would expect (aka like Arcanum) and I found there was a little more challenge on the hardest difficulties than the likes of the newest Fallout games (3/NV/4). The runtime is shorter than you would expect (around the 30hr mark), but the dialogue and world design are exceptional. People were unhappy concerning the pacing of the main quest, and while the stakes don't hit the same pitch as something like New Vegas, it's still a very solid game and you can feel the Cain/Boyarsky influence.

TBH I'm happy to move away from massive sandbox RPGs and something a little more linear these days - games do need to end! There's a further DLC planned than what is mentioned above, so I think on the whole after those it will feel both full-fleshed and lengthy. I would have always enjoyed it regardless, if TOW2 is going to be an Xbox exclusive that will likely factor into my next gen buying decisions.

    Good morning.

What are people's thoughts on Avowed (set in the Pillars of Eternity universe, but 3D, so the Skyrim equivalent of Pillars of Eternity)?

    Good morning.

My thoughts are "One day I'll play Skyrim, Pillars of Eternity, and Avowed."

    Good morning.
