Did you know that Americans pronounce the word "taco" like "tucko".

    Good morning.

Did you know that in the BG2 days I pronounced THAC0 like a Brit pronounces "taco"?

    Good evening.

How do you pronounce it now - "thack-nought"?

    Good morning. (Pronounced "Good morning")

I'm honestly more concerned about how it works than how it is pronounced.

    Good day.

On of my most proudest achievements in life is that I worked out what THAC0 stood for just by playing BG1.

    Good morning.

Yesterday I saw a label on a packet of mixed nuts:

WARNING: Small children can choke on nuts

For some reason it made me think of Jojobobo.

    Good morning.

Earlier I saw a sign about using PhDs to help kids and I thought of myself.

I'm hoping people spot the link for the innuendo and don't just think this is very unsubtle bragging. Good morning.

If you have Spotify, check out the playlist called "Eläkelaiset Quiz". Finnish humppa at its finest.

    Good morning.

Is it called humppa because it's music you listen to while having sex?

    Good morning?

It's also the music you listen to while being shitfaced drunk, while you stab someone with a knife, and when you go up against the Soviet Union and make the Spartans at Thermopylae look like a bunch of pussies.

In Finland, all of these things amount to the same thing.

    Good day.

Halloween just got scarier, or at least more depressing.

    Good morning.

So I have an unusual story of how a man can spoil a movie for himself and for someone else at the same time.

It starts with me watching Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (which is well worth a watch if you have seen it), and for those of you that don't know it focuses on Miles Morales as the main character and not Peter Parker.

So anyway I messaged my brother before I was going to watch it on Facebook saying I was going to watch it later, just general FB messenger chit-chat as he's still in the US. I then close FB until about midway through the movie.

When I check FB my brother again says [spoilers!]:
Is that the one where the Uncle is evil and working for King Pin?

As this happened about 10 minutes later in the movie was a big reveal, I was like, "Dude, WTF?"

However! Me and brother have a long running joke where we come up with fake spoilers before the other is ready to watch something, usually something ridiculous and outlandish.

    Putting this together [spoilers!]:
My brother knowing nothing about the movie naturally assumed Peter Parker would be the protagonist, and with Uncle Ben dying in his origin story obviously it would be a ridiculous and outlandish fake spoiler for Uncle Ben to be working for King Pin. Seeing as Miles Morales is actually the protagonist, that spoiler turned out not to be so ridiculous after all.

It's almost like Inception, but shit.

    Good morning!

Whenever I'm watching a film with someone, I like to play a game of "Who can predict what will happen next". Usually the person I'm watching with is up for this, but one of my previous film-watching partners didn't like it because I was "always right and that spoils the suspense".

    Smug mode activated.

    Good morning.

Yeah I usually can imagine most plot points in a movie happening before they happen, because I'm one of those people who try to think about all the reasonable possibilities when I do anything. Whether or not it's the course I expect the movie the take is another matter.

It does make it frustrating when people are like, "OMG, I just did see that coming!!"

    I'm like, "Dude, WTF?"

    Good Friday!

Warning, this post contains spoilers for Game of Thrones.

So, who else wasn't particularly surprised when...

... Ned Stark was executed. I mean, the show opened with him executing a Night's Watch deserter, and Hollywood rules state that if you kill someone not in self defence then you have to die yourself later. Plus he was played by Sean Bean. Come on.

    Good morning.

Wish I hadn’t read that spoiler. Has ruined the show for me now.

Gläd dig då, du lilla skara
    Jakobs Gud skall dig bevara
    För hans vilja måste alla
    Fiender till jorden falla

I just realized just how fucking intimidating a childhood hymn actually is.

    Good evening.
