I started playing a dwarf with the 'Barbarian' background and decided I'd stick to barbarian armour. Only problem is I can't find, nor can I ever remember seeing small armour of this type aside from the small 'Dark Barbarian Clothing' that you get for picking the background.

I'm right in saying there isn't any other small barbarian gear aren't I?

Check the "fyne" blacksmith in Caladon, I think I noticed such armor when I was there.

He's a dwarven smith, I don't think they ever have barbarian armour in stock.

    You're right Vorak, he doesn't.

I checked the inventory source file and the only listing is the Small Bronze Barbarian Clothes the halfling merchant carries and that's on a 15% basis in the stock game. Also, the inventory hack does nothing to improve this.

Which halfling merchant would that be?

    I don't know!

I checked the halfling in the Boil but he's on Junk Dealer. Then I went to Shrouded Hills but the gnome is on Rural General Store.

Those are the only small merchants I can remember from the stock game.

    Anyone remember another one?

Hmm, I think that I've seen some small barbarian armor in Kree, The Bane of Kree or how you spell it.

Later this morning I remembered about the gnome in Stillwater, but he's on Rural General Store as well.

As for finding small armor in Kree - What version of the game are you playing?
I can't recall ever getting small armor of any kind in Kree.

    Small Dread Armor- 8064
    Small Red Barbarian Clothes- 8124
    Small Bronze Barbarian Clothes- 8084
All I can think of is to add any one of these to the starting inventory of the Barbarian. I know you can't buy the stuff in the game.

Just as good: get the inventory hack and add the numbers Gross listed to one or more of the smiths. ie: 50,8064 50,8124 50,8084. That'll add a touch of randomness to what pops up.

That'll do in the short term, but I now have a task before me. I'm going to have to make some kind of orcish village with a barbarian smith*

*This could be several years off.

Your suggestion is better, because it's less like cheating. Just starting with the item takes the fun out of looking for it.

Well, i don´t know if it helps(probably not), but i have already seen a gnome using small barbarian armor (it was the first time i saw one of these too).

He was a wild merchant from car-arcanum.... :/

I played Car Arcanum a few times, but I find that I prefer the purity of the game without Chris' gameplay changes. I don't mind new quests and locations but I don't like who he changed the way you actually play the game.

And the thing that I find most disturbing with polished car-arcanum, is that Chris have changed all the weapons damage, speed, etc. E.g before car-arcanum the looking glass rifle had 40-40 damage, and 12 in speed. That was really just awesome.

Now, with car-arcanum, the amount of damage done by the looking glass rifle has gone down to 10-40 instead and now with only 6 in speed. That's not good at all.

And not to mention the repeater rifle, or Droch's Warbringer, they have been totally messed up.

Except the stats of the Looking Glass rifle was changed in the first Arcanum patch (well, Chris may have done other alterations to it as well, but the 40-40 damage is in unpatched Arcanum only).

Yeah, but I don't use the 1074. patch, and I'm still not having problems with bugs.
