i was in verdiger (*@^* spelling, whatever that called) ruins, and the bug happened. once i entered the ruins, everything just passed slowly, and it's frekin' slow. i got wait 2min to finish off a lv.4 spiders. what the hell is wrong with the game?!?!?!? i got Pentium III, 600 MHz, 192MB RAM, 16MB video card, and a very good DVD player (which it plays CDs too... and it's like 64x). how can such slow down problem happened?!?!?
Do you mean Vooriden? That's the closest place I can think of that matches that description. There's no place called Verdiger. Try exiting the ruins. Slowdowns like that happen periodically on any game. Try resetting the computer and going at it again.
A 32MB card wouldn't hurt, but Jarinor's right. Sometimes the game just does that. But it isn't a bug, right, Jarinor? onder:
32 MB card is good. Actually, I have these problems on my computer, every so often it will just slow down for everything for about and hour or so, if I want to fix it earlier than that, I have to restart, which isn't a big deal. It happened with Deus Ex, it happens with Arcanum, it happens with everything.
no, the Vendigroth ruins... i tried to restart, but its just like in old time... slow... slow... arghhhh... troika should fixed that... or they would get a 'ass punch'.
Well, seeing as you have trouble getting the name right, I don't think you should expect Troika to fix it just for you . For my advice, look at the first part (of the first part) of my sig.
Save your game, and then leave your followers behind, see if that fixes it. Alternatively, try to run in safe mode. That's the only two possible fixes I can think of...
1 - i got my ass kicked around in the ruin, without followers. 2 - save virsion, it's frekin' slow, again!
 An "ass punch"? I love that... Good tips all around. Another thing you might try is defragging your hard drive. Clear out your Task Manager before starting the game. Get rid of everything except for Explorer and Systray. That should free up some system resources. Also, download the DXApplet and turn off sound debugging in Direct X. Out of all the things I've done to make the game run better, this has had the most positive effect. Gimme a minute and I'll see if I can find the link for you.
Here's that link: dxapplet.zip And here's a copy & paste of how to use it: Thanks go out to vesselle for posting this at the Sierra Boards.
no need anymore, when i got into ruin (inside), it's fats enough. but my ass is still got kicked. no more ass punchs for ya
