Stupid Dwarf wont stop sleeping! I'm trying to get this quest:

"Find Thrayne Iron Heart’s brother at the Stonecutter Clan"

...from the dwarf at the Wheel clan, only he wont get out of bed!?? I've tried forcing the location via the world map but it doesn't work and this guy never wakes up. Does anyone know how to make the little bastard talk -or- find the clan via other means?

You've hit a common glitch I'm afraid. You must have entered the Wheel Clan at night. For some reason, this causes that Dwarf to go into a coma. The same can happen to Miss Cameron in Black Root. I don't believe there is any solution. I do seem to recall eventually coming back and having him up and about in one of my games, but I'm not at all sure whether or not that is an actual memory or just wishful thinking.

There is no solution I'm afraid, if you ever enter the town part of the wheel clan at night he goes to bed and does not appear to have any inclination to ever wake up again.

I remember reading that this was a bug during development that originally affected EVERYONE in the game. He seems to be a remnant of it.

Oh for the love of Arcanum! There isn't some potion of something? What about finding the Stonecutter clan, any way to force it to appear?

How strange that you can't force the location. The last time I played and he was sleeping I did that, but if you say it doesn't work... You know what you have to do.

    Load a previous save.

Slicing the Forekin with a sheet of A4 paper is usually a good way to wake up a sleeping dwarf!

There's not much one can add to this.
I had the same thing happen to me, but a stick of dynamite next to his bed solved the problem real quickly.
Of course, I had to go back to Thrayne and tell him I killed his brother.

Having made the mistake of sleeping nude in a house with a playful kitten - you called this perfectly.

Wow I kind of wish I hadn't read that, but oh man is that funny. I really hate when they sit on your leg while you're watching Tv and then fall asleep and start to slide off... only to dig their claws deep into your thigh to hold themselves on.

    -------

Try killing the dwarf and then ressurecting him. Like... use a fate point to plant some poisoned armor on him and then bring him back to life. Ofcourse as soon as he gets life back into him he might just go back to sleep.

Edit: You know, that's sig worthy. Do you mind?

Does anyone know of any other characters who won't get back up again when they go to sleep?

Can anyone confirm that Mrs Cameron does this?

This should be reasonably easy to fix. Just tell them not to go to bed at all. After sleeping through a dozen previous games, never sleeping again is a fitting punishment.

Definitely that dwarf who gives you the quest to go to the Stonecutter clan and you may as well put Mrs Cameron on the list, although I don't recall having problems with her. I don't know of any others.

Ms. Cameron definetly does do this. I've had her go comatose several times. Though, it's not as reliable as the Dwarf. I've entered Black Root at night countless times and she hasn't done it. Other times she has... Not sure what triggers it with her.

Omg, Lady Druella does that. I first came in the Lair of Gry-Dolours, Lady Druella was knocked out, I waited a while, Lady Druella got up again, but then the Gry-Dolours knocked here down again. I killed the Gry-Dolours waited a day and Lady Druella was still on the ground. I tried going in and out of the area. When I came back, she was still on the ground. :x I couldn't finish my Master Melee quest.

On the second or third time I tried the Lair of Gry-Dolours, Virgil got knocked down, went flat - kind of like a cut-out - then wouldn't get up. Anyone else ever run into this?
