I've been finding this site offline a lot, the last two days, is there some server thingy or am I just on my way to get banned?
Are you sure it's not something with your ISP or connection, mathboy? I had that happen to me at one time and found that it was a problem with my cable line - a squirrel had been chewing on it. I haven't had any trouble getting on.
Now I haven't got any either, it lasted for about two days and just affected TA, so I don't know really, I asked this question mostly hoping it was DU improving the site.
It's not your connection: it happened to me too, and it seems to be something that recurs periodically.
The site's being improved, you just won't see it until it's all finished¹. Not sure why the site would be going offline though, could be the server is dying and all will be lost!! ¹Don't ask me when that will be though. In the meantime, it would be nice if someone else was posting news and stuff. I mean, really.
Seriously, it would be nice to have someone actually bringing in new content to the site. If someone were actually doing that stuff, they might have been able to get T-A a Vampire Interview.
I don't need to make you an admin to do that. All I have to do is make you a "news poster". Question is, can you post news?
Me trying to post news: GameSpot just made a preview of Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines. Good to hear it's coming soon, now we just have to get those monster computers to play it. Source:RPG Codex This was just to show how I would post it, I saw there were different (HTML) tags in the news forum but they don't work here.
Sure, as long as I can post news about my abs and my teenage angst... Seriously, I'd like to help, for a while atleast.
Oh dear god, I'd school you so fast in posting news. DU, you gotta see it don't you? I can work with HTML and I'm pretty damn good with Photoshop, so I'm always here.
