I have Photoshop. I just haven't the vaguest idea how to use it... all of mine are made in Paint, which came with Windows.

Ack! You have Photoshop and you choose to use Paint?! Heresy!

Read a couple of online tutorials. Get a feel for the program. It isn't that hard to do simple things like sigs and avatars in Photoshop. You just need to get a feel for how the program does things.

EDIT - Or give Paint Shop Pro 7 a try. It's a free download, and from what I hear, it's alot easier to use compared to Photoshop. More intuitive.

Yes, Paint Shop Pro is very intuitive. It is very easy to use¹.

¹May not be as intuitive or easy to use as claimed. In fact, it can be a downright bitch at times. You can't add other pictures to pictures you already have open, like you can in Paint. How crap is that?

Sure you can. Copy and paste the layer.

I don't call that intuitive . I call that damn annoying and too hard. Paint is so much easier to use in that respect...hmmm, maybe a combination between the two could work...

I used to have Corel (whatevercomesafterCorelinthenamehere)... combined with Paint, it was great. Paint for layering and placing, Corel for colors...
But then I got a new computer.

You guys are insane, dammit. INSANE!

There are no layers in Paint. Dragging and dropping one image onto another is intuitive...

    Aaargh... I'm surrounded by heretics.

Yeah, the lack of layers is the annoying part of Paint.
That and the 16 choices of color...

Dragging and dropping images is good. Paint does it. Paint Shop Pro probably does it, but not intuitively. If you have to fiddle around with options to do something that basic, I ain't happy.

You go to Profile and scroll down to where it says "Signature", then use the command [IMG]
    That's all.

Oh yes - by the way, it appears I do *not* actually have Photoshop.
    I have Photo Deluxe.
Which I have no idea how to use.

I looked up Pro 7 by the way. All I could find for free was a 30-day trial...
