Well, I've never played Fallout (GASP!), but from what almost everyone here says, I'll have to check it out. And I'll sign the petition.

I signed (using my real name). I hope Interplay take note and get development underway soon.

wow over 5000 signatures already way cool, if it represents 10% of the market they already have 1/2 million sold!

um ... sorry, but if I don't do it, someone else will:

    5000 * 10 = 50 000

still a pretty worthwhile sales figure, though.

Sure, But I think the topic change made it look better. I knew it was over 5000 since I'm was around 5246 I think. I spotted this at the vault13 network.

Hell, to tell the truth, Fallout 3 with the exact same engine as Fallout 2 (same graphics, same sound, etc.) would be good enough for me.

I'd even pay for a Fallout 2 world editor type thing where people could use the game engine to create and play user made modules. If it's easy enough to use, then I'm sure the fans would support it by creating modules, despite the game's age. All in all, the Fallout modding community seems a bit more... fervent than Arcanum's.

EDIT - Oh yeah, for what it's worth, Petition ++. Had to use a bullshit e-mail, though, since my new address doesn't seem to be working yet.

Damn me if we're not in agreement again. I don't know who should be more upset - me for sharing so many opinions with someone who is obviously a deranged sex fiend, or you for sharing the opinions of the runner up in this years Britain's Most Pedantic Man competition (they wanted to make me winner until I patiently pointed out why that would have been a technical infringement of the rules).

I've felt for ages that they got RPG game mechanics just right with the Fallout engine, and have really been hoping that they'd create an editor based upon it.
