Yarrrrggh - how many more of these are we going to get? Until recently, Eros Rex was the only one (or one of a very few) who announced a trivial rank change in its very own thread. Let's not go back to focusing on ranks. We'll end up hip-deep in annoying spam.
I'm with Fatman on this one - no one cares about the ranks! Everyone's seen the lower ones before, and we don't need the higher ones announced like they're on parade everytime someone gets one. And why bother congratulating people on them? It's blatantly stating the obvious to people who couldn't care less.

That is something I would like to achieve, but it doesn't mean I have to spam to get there. I wouldn't do such a thing. What would be the point? I'd already be the highest poster. As it stands, I'm going to have enough trouble overtaking al without spamming. You might consider this post spam - I consider it a defence of my character, which I probably don't need to post, but I can't help.
