Safe to store things in and around the game world?

Either way, molotovs are a pain in the ass, since you get a 1 rag = 1 molotov ratio. Finding rags may not be that hard, but it's a pain in the ass to run all over town checking every rubbish bin.

Whereas with one magnesium and one (wine, I think), you get five flash bombs, and with each flash bomb + Large Capacitor, you get three electroution grenade.

Magnesium is not hard to find, since it can be bough, as can be wine. You damn well certain can buy Large Capacitors easy enough, too.

Plus, it's more fun. Remember, it's pillage, then burn.

 

why pillage? money and items are so easy to aquire in the game, there's no reason to leave anything alive. burn first, ask questions later.
