Roseborough Inn question

Okay... so what's with the rock outside the Inn that has all the directions and numbers? I'm sure it means something....?

 

Yes it means something... In later game there is a quest where you have to find a tomb, those numbers are directions for that tomb.

Have you ever read about the "old" pirate maps, which had instructions of a certain amount of steps in a specific direction, then turn and continue anothe amount of steps, etc?

Remember:
Top-left corner of your monitor = North

 

The directions on the rock are backwards n=s w=e and vice versa. To get the quest look on the lid of nasrudins tomb then talk to the historian.
