Riddles...

I'm asking you for riddles here because I leave for 4 weeks.

 

I figured that but only after I smashed submit button and didn't really want to correct that. Anyway I still ask for explanation about "ick" being sysnonym for "gross".

 

I had problems with that association too - but I guess some people say 'ick' when the see something gross (ie. horrible, disgusting, 'yucky', or any other synonym).

 

It's common american slang. It was a natural association for me, but I don't suppose it's often (ever?) used outside the U.S.

 

when you've had an american in your house for half a year... you do... you really really do. Especially when that person lives close to LA

 

If you know the answers, then how come you haven't shown your ugly mug around here before?

 

Thanks for explaining that one - though I'd sooner make such an association for "yuck" (or however you spell it).
