Oh I remember another fun thing that happened once:

A few years ago I downloaded a character patch off some russian game site for Arcanum and after I installed it, the freakiest thing happened:

Everytime I welt to talk to somene, they would die like a critical hit (dismemberment or decapitation). I couldn't understand what the hell was going on but I found it funny. Made the game totally unplayeble though, but at least it didn't affect my alignment!

 

It musta been the Vodka breath!

 

That's being reserved for "Port Royale".

Well...if you ever played as a halfling in Arcanum, you'd see how many people seem to love the little guys. Especially elves! Of course, it's probably not the amorous kind of love, probably more like the "Hey, look at the puppy" love.

 

I'd hazard a guess and say that Halfling would find that sort of "puppy love" rather ofensive.

I mean its bad enough they often get mistaken for children, making them constant victoms of sexual harassment from Arcanum resident pedophiles and child molestors, not to mention the fact they get asked for ID where the hell they go.

Add to that some lanky elf bastrd patting them on the head and saying "aintcha cute" and pretty soon the halfings are gonna start to go postal and get medieval on people's asses.....

 

Figuratively if not literally.
