    What Wolf says is absolutely true. Why do you think I'm not there wasting my pitiful existence with you other guys? Jarinor once tipped me of a program called Polaris, but guess what - it also required payment. And I'm sure as hell not paying 20 dollars for a mere chat program.

    Hopefully, I might get my hands on an old mIRC installation file. That might solve the problem.

    There should be a buncha freeware IRC clients out there. Trillian has IRC functionality as well, for instance.

    By the way, there's a buncha other RPG-related channels on Gamesnet:

    I use mIRC, but I don't pay for it, nor have I cracked it. Let's just say that without a registry entry, it doesn't care how long it's been installed...

    Nah I downloaded it fairly recently (within the last 5 months?) and it still works just fine. It just suggests I register my copy and pay some money every time I log on.

    try googling "free irc"

    then when you download a random copy, add the gamesurge server...

    there's instructions for that on the gamesurge website...
