Saint Proverbius wrote <A HREF="/council/articles/releaseme.shtml">an editorial</A> on the current status of Arcanum: an ISO (a pirate version of the game) of a pre-gold beta is available to the less scrupulous, while the game is not. Although I don't think Saint's conclusion is feasible, the editorial offers a nice overview of the proverbial crap flying around since the pirate version of Arcanum hit the warez sites.
