Raven vs Al'Urin

i ve finished the game nearly and i think
i start the same char again
(half-elf/female gunslinger) with some small improvenets (have waste some points)
and my way is nearly clear i know who to build my char and how to get trought the game
but there s one little thing the fifth member of my party
the others are clear
(torian kel, sebastian, virgil, magnus)
but i dont witch mage to take @ the moment
i ve al'urin is in my party
(sebastian torian virgil perriman)
but i think she is useless
(the spells she cast arent very helpfully, she use no srcolls/stave)and i try also to be good or neutral guy so she dont like me
so what youre think is the better choice
i dont try raven so i dont know

 

I like Raven for her voice and her water spells. :smile:

 

I hate Raven for her water spells. That Thunder cloud she summons in some very simple battles hurts you and your followers. Her voice over is cool, and her bow skills are great but in a large party she suxs. In a small party shes good, but her arrows often him alies

 

Those bows are like machine guns to her! :smile:

 

Yea, too bad I haven't ever seen her do more damage then 3-7 (7 on a crit!).

 

hmmm i think i will take raven i now al'urin now and she s is all the time angry because i ve a good alignment and her stone spells

How high is your alignment? do you think Z'an will join me, Im +58 ,cha 12, beau 9, does she get a voice over? Ill take her, her portrait looks better than Raven (that's for me, I know there will be objections..)=)

 

no you wont get her with these stats
i need to have an alignment und 10
1 point in persuation
charisma 20
beauty 10
if you have charisma on 20 she will never leave you only if you ask her so you never can tell her to wait cause this is like telling her to leave you and with a good alingment (over 20) she will dissagree to join you after waiting

 

Im expert in persuasion, I thought the site says that with mastery of persuasion everyone will join your regardless of alignment and other concerns, is that right?

That's right, Skie. But also, according to the manual, you can achieve this by having 20 points or more in your charm.

 

no when you have 20 or mor in charisma nobody would leave only if you ask them but tell them to wait is like party leaving so thats why she won t agree to join a good char with low persuation after waiting

 

Sorry, Tarin. Got confused with apprentice in Persuasion. Wel, it's kinda similar with 20+ Charisma. :smile:

 

Theres no way to get +20 charisma without a cheat.



Is there a bug that lowers bow damage? I gave Raven a 10-25 bow and shes only pulling 1-10 on her character sheet and in battles...

 

Even if you choose a background with a + in Charisma for start-ups?

 

The + charisma backrounds will raise it can only raise your racial to 20 if you have it hinderd by your race. For example a halfling can't get higher then 22 dex, but if he where to choose the Ranaway with circus backround (+6) str he would be able to acheve 20 str even though his race has -5 str and would be caped at 15. He would not , however, be able to get 21 str.

 

that suxx cuz you cant raise your sats over 20 with item so why the hell should raise my perception to 20 cuz when i wear an eyegear i got +2 perception so i ve to raise it only to
18
and i even dont need to raise charisma till 20 cuz i get this bless from madame toussaude
that raises my charisma by 1
it would be mutch cooler if you where able to raise your stats over 20 with items

 

Cool? Yes. Unbalanced? Almost undoubtedly.

 

why ? ok it has a taste of diablo2
but i dont think that it would destroy the game balance

 

Imagine 1/2 Orges with 30 str and 24 dex. The point of a point cap was limit the strengh of your character. The fact I can make a godly elf capable of defeating the last boss in 4 turns with full melee is very unbalanced as it is. Its very easy to make an uber character as it is lets not add to it.


Godly elf(Bully backround and add 1 to int to have 2 pells on at once)

str 20
dex 21
wp 18
full time spells

44 damage and 72 speed

Play around with other combos, but if you were to give him backstab he'd do untold amounts of damage.

Also DONT NOT USE THE D***** WORD HERE!
