Andre the Giant - basketball guy who tried to make it big in Hollywood. Had one movie - My Giant - as far as I'm aware, and nothing more after that.

I think that was Gheorghe Muresan, the Romanian. Andre the Giant was a wrestler, and French.

How's it feel being wrong, Jarinor? Especially when you tried to sound like you knew something? I suppose perhaps we can let it slip due to the fact that you live in Australia...no, I don't think we can. Didn't you ever watch "The Princess Bride?" He was the monstrous fellow with the heavy accent.

I don't feel any different, but that could just be because I don't give a shit. In another situation where I claimed expertise it would be embarrassing, and I suppose the tone of my comments led some people to assume that I knew what I was talking about, but really I was talking out of my ass. I remembered a movie about a really tall guy called My Giant, and Andre the Giant and the connection was made in my mind.

And no, I haven't seen "The Princess Bride".

The main thing here, is that you sounded like you knew what was up to the uninformed observer, which is a good skill to have. The ability to produce good, believable bullshit is an invaluable virtue in this twisted world.

Oh, and you should definitly watch the movie. Since you obviously like Monty Python and the Holy Grail, I think you'll like The Princess Bride. Not quite as good (is any movie?), but still an excellent and highly entertaining film.

You should see it. Walk into a video store, and it's wall to wall with Mad Max videos. MM 1, 2 and 3, as well as the director's cut versions, and the digitally remade and enhanced ones (of both regular and DC). That doesn't count the animated versions of each movie, the multiple cartoon and live action series' and The History of Mad Max. Why anyone would want to watch anything else is beyond me. Actually, IS there anything else? Oh yeah, as Canis said, Priscilla. Not quite as popular as Mad Max (no animated version of the movie, but otherwise same deal) but popular enough to get a corner in the store. The sequels aren't bad either. My god you're stupid Fish. And I don't like you now either

I've watched the Princess Bride, but haven't even HEARD of Mad Max until now.

    *does a quick google search*

It kind of causes James Bond to come to mind.

Xento, in some overseas countries Mad Max was called the Road Warrior

On Andre: He was over 7ft tall, weighed 550 pounds, had a size 22 shoe, twice as many teeth as the average human and it was 1 ft around his wrist.

He is probably the 3rd most famous professional wrestler of all time after The Rock and Hulk Hogan, Hulk Hogan is also the only man to defeat him and the only man to lift him off the ground.

He was french, born just outside Paris and starred in a variety of films (if you want a list the Google search, I'm not posting one here).

Wow, the size alone is insane, but the teeth thing really makes it unbelievable...

You haven't heard of Mad Max? And you are using a Fallout avatar, indicating you've played the game? That's entirely unnaceptable. The Road Warrior (Mad Max 2) was probably one of Fallout's biggest influences.

Remember that there are three movies to the series. The first one is called THE ROAD WARRIOR,second one is MAD MAX, and third is MAD MAX BEYOND THE THUNDERDOME. And when watching the movies remember the two golden rules.''Break a deal spin the wheel". and "two men enter, one man leaves."

Also, ive just noticed the tiny print Jar and i dont think i like you either. You are now not invited to my birthday party.

Correction: Mad Max 1 is called Mad Max. Number TWO is Road Warrior, and 3 is Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome (not THE Thunderdome).

But, jar, is there any room left over for Paul Hogan movies? I'm sure he's a national hero!

Ah, you're talking about Hell are you? And man, fucking learn to spell. It's didgeridoo. Don't fucking insult my intelligence either, with stupid statements like "Is it true the only movie australians can rent is mad max?". Not only is it incredibly stupid on your part, but it pisses me off. Give it a rest asshole, or be forever persecuted by me.

I thought you posted after the mad max comment, shouldnt you have gotten your anger off there. Just curious. And where did you get the idea i was talking about Hell. Just curious again. "curious george, the curious little monkey."
