What stats do I need to convince Randver to open up the secret passage to his dad? And how high? Beacuse I REALLY don't want to fight though the dredge with a level 20 character.
I had at least 12 points (three CP's worth) of Persuasion - but that might not be all you need - I was also intelligent and charismatic. Now my Arcanum character, on the other hand... :grin:

I have about 15 INT, but I can't remember at all any talking about s+s. Is it possible that I missed a dialogue option that I can now not get, or if I had have missed it, would it still be there? And..........if I got it, is there any way I could have screwed up when talking to Loghaire? Boy, the runs through the game were easier before I looked at the possible list of characters and decided to plan ahead
Since this is Arcanum and not Baldur's Gate, yes it is entirely possible for you to miss a dialogue option. When speaking with Randver you need to ask why his father is so ashamed, and then he'll question your intellectual capacities, to which you must respond "Oh I think I'm up to the task" or some such, that is if your intelligence is in fact high enough. Then he'll discuss Stone & Shape. If you have already spoken with Loghaire you cannot go back, learn of s&s, and speak with Loghaire once more about it. At least, I don't believe you can.... And yes, it is just as easy to screw up a dialogue with Loghaire as it is with Randver. Did that answer your question?
You can't discuss s+s if you already got a pass to go find loghaire And I think its better if you start a fresh thread instead of digging up dead ones, not trying to be pushy, just asserting power as a new master.
