Random items appearing in my inventory?

I am not presently sure how this is happenning, but every once in a while I check my inventory and I have stuff. Stuff that I did not acquire through a shop or finding it. Frequently I find a gas can with about 60 or so fuel in it. Today I found myself with fuel, batteries, and a filament. Anybody have any idea where I am getting this stuff from? Sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere but I didn't find anything using the search feature. Some kind of weird bug perhaps?

i have no idea, although maybe your a sleep techy and you wake up in the middle of the night, turn on arcanum and try to become more tech. hehe ask a friend to hide your keyboard next tim eyou go to sleep hehehe, okay, i really have no idea, thats weird, goodluck bro

Ya know, you may be right. I could be some scitzo-sleepwalker that plays as a techie in the middle of the night! I'll have to hide the keyboard and spend all day thinking about the wrong hiding place...

try a few times and see if just logging in and out does it.. or only if its at night hahha, we could be onto something.

Are you using a save game editor, or some other type of hack? Those might be causing the problem.

If not, that's a damned interesting bug.

 

Most of those items can be attained when you disarm a trap, maybe that is where you are getting them.

 

Really? I never knew that. That's probably what it is. I dumped a lot of points into spot trap and I just love disarming them :smile: I'll have to test that out!

 

Yeah, at Expert level disarm trap, you can get back components from a trap you remove.
