ive seen to have backed myself into a wall with the quintara quest to get the loggers out of the sacred woods.. heres where im at ive talked to the leader until the only thing i can say is.. Talk to me man! and insult him i figured if i insulted him enough he would attack me and die from the spirits or whatever,.. but whenever i do that the spirit comes out and kills me instead.. perhaps i can still convince him to leave but i just cant see how i could get the dialog to do so,... is there another way around this quest or am i doomed to restart my damn game. any help would be appreciated thanks.
With persuasion there is another way. Without persuasion, have your followers wait. Get into turn based combat mode rather than RTC. In RTC, you can hit back without knowing it. Get out of combat mode & talk to the surveyor. When the surveyor hits you, walk off your turn or use the little green arrow to pass.
i guess wrighting your problems out does help,.. because as i was wrighting this i came up with why i was being attacked by the spirits... dumb ass freinds always attackin on there own... so if someone wants to delete this thread go to it..
Well, put it in turn based combat. Then insult the guy and make him attack you. Tell your followers to back off (f5), don't attack them and they will be killed by the Quench life. Edit: I started this post right before Shadygrove answered.
Screw that, just use a fate point to save against magick and attack them. the 'spirits' are just a quenchlife spell so the fate point over rides the you die if you attack thing.
Either make them attack you by insulting them or attacking without inflicting damage (by the Disarm spell, for example), and let them hit you first- or have high persuasion and get the dialog right.
OK, I tried this pre-patch and it worked, but I haven't tried it since. However at the time the spell only occured once and Virgil and I escaped unscathed
I played an archer and just snipered them. Also, if you're a thief, dynamite doesn't count as killing them, but it does make them very, very dead, so...
