I've noticed in a few screen shots across the board that people are able to place spells in the quickslots you use can use items from. I've searched for about 20 minutes using every combination of keywords i could and have resolved to risk the horrible torment one would suffer for bringing up a topic that has already been answered.

The burning question! How do you put spells in the item quick slots?

You just right click and hold on the spell you want in a slot, drag it to the slot, then release right click. You can also do this for skills like pickpocket, sneak, etc.

By the by, did you guys know that holding Shift while clicking on any of the quick slots automatically uses the item/casts the spell on the PC?

    Yeah.

    Thank you very much!
I've been playing Arcanum on and off for about 5 years and this little trick would have made life so much easier had i known sooner.

    Cheers

No I didn't know that actually, it'll be useful next time I get back into playing Arcanum so thanks.

I'm pretty sure that's somewhere in the manual: I knew that, and I don't think it was from accidental usage or anything similar.
