Does anybody know how/what file I have to find in the Arcanum .dats to edit the amount of character points given upon gaining a level?

BTW, If this topic was a "grave dig" don't scream at me, I searched for anything like this and the search said:
    "Search found 3218 matches"
I don't have the time or desire to sift through that, so I apologize in advance if this was a gravedig. :)

.......To be perfectly honest, I don't give a rats ass about grave digging. I just kind of thought that if I did that I'd piss all of you off and wouldn't get anybody to help, which by the way, I don't see anybody trying to help. Thanks a bunch. :-x

Chris616263, talking to us that way is NOT the way to get someone to help you in this or any other forum. :)

However, in answer to your question, since I'm basically a nice guy most of the time, the file you are looking for is xp_level.mes and it can be found in Arcanum3.dat or Arcanum4.dat, if you are patched. You can also download a couple of different hacked versions of it here and at Dimensions of Arcanum that let you get experience to level 100 or 127 using different leveling schemes.

    Does that satisfy you?

First of all, I apologize, I was having kind of a bad day, so I'm sorry, no need to take it out on you people, my personal problems aren't yours, so, I'm sorry. I'm usually not that much of a jerk most of the time..

Second, did you read my question right?

I was asking if I could alter the amount points given upon a level-up.
For example: I gain a level, instead of gaining 1 CP I gain 2. I noticed that if you gives 2 every 5 levels, and I was wondering if I could edit that? Also, I've already got it so I can get to level 127 :)
So, thanks for trying to help anyway. :D

Sorry. You're right, I did misread your question. After looking everywhere I know to look, I still have no clue what file that is set in, so unless someone like Chris Beddoes knows better, I suspect that it is built into the game engine and can't be changed. If anyone else knows a better answer, I certainly hope they will put it in here.
