quest problem any help?

    helpppp!!! whats going on with this quest? ruins of szabo- i went here to retrieve a bow for pierce and i have a key for another level of dungeon- but no dungeon and no bow just 2 really big bludgeoners who try to kill me and an empty room????? :???:

    Some inanimate objects are targetable. All they need is hit points showing when you are in combat mode. Doors, chests, light posts, torches....

    I must be an idiot, im an expert with the bow but when i went in the ruins I couldnt target the lights ,the walls, nothing- i toggled combat mode and tried to shoot every thing- I ran around in the empty rooms for half an hour trying to shoot or target anything and came up with diddly squat..... :(

    (Stupid question but it has to be asked....)

    Are you holding down the Alt key when trying to target inanimate objects?

    Sorry Im new to rpg and playing computer games- I told you I must be an idiot :( holding down the alt key- worked for me, I wasnt doing that before- so I guess the question wasnt so stupid after all...lol. THANK YOU THANK YOU- problem is solved. Maybe other idiots like myself will read these posts and find them just as helpful. :)
