Yeah, I probably do have various mild mental disorders (like OCD) but then again, so do most people. Everyone has their own little hang ups, but only pop culture type people (you know, the sort who see their various therapists once a week, and can't believe you don't have one) actually care and try to fix something that isn't going to change.

 

I disagree Xento, I am mentally different because my brain is wired differently. You can't say that all brains are the same and the only variables are chemicals. Besides theres memory and reaction from a stimulus.

 

That's quite true. The 'wired' part of your brain is the connectors you have developed as a child. But, technically, your brain is physically the same as everyone else's. It's like the difference between Mac computers and PCs; it's all about how your brain crunches the numbers.

The only thing that makes people really differ mentally is the way their brain is set up, and the chemicals that work in it. Your brain is 'set up' when you are a child, usually a toddler or early teen, while you learn about right and wrong, how the world works, etc. This is heavily influenced by your peers and your parents. As your brain learns, it's cells develop connections, and these connections are unique for each person, and play a major roll in developing your character. The chemical content is partly dependant on what kinds of chemicals your body is making, which probably varies according to genetics, and what chemicals you put into your body by eating, drinking, etc.

"Urban Culture" makes me seriously angry. The fact that most of the nation's youth are being brainwashed by low-grade hip-hop (as if the top-shelf stuff isn't bad enough), makes me want to go out and kill black "musicans," and the whites who emulate them.
