There's a world of fun to be had from trying to combine magick and technology. I'm finding new ways all the time but can anyone give me more ideas? I'm a bit of a tech-noob.

The one I just discovered is using an automaton or mech-spider to facilitate super-mega-meta-abuse. No need for summoning at all! Just bounce a spell off a reflection shield around the mech, then switch the mech off (click on it) and the spell is applied to you forever.

It's also great fun buffing and shapechanging mechs because when you're tired of them stealing your kills or slowing your frame-rate, you can switch them off and put them in a box, and all of their attributes return to normal.

What else is a good combination of magick and tech? Anyone?

I've said this before, but one of my favourite character builds is the fastest-gun-in-the-west build where you combine a revolver with the Temporal college of magic.

You could always play the anti dark elf build by playing a dwarven technologist character who takes out mages with the Meta college. Sort of a fighting fire with fire attitude.

The temporal-master gunslinger is heaps of fun! I'm also enjoying my wizard flinging exotic grenades. There doesn't seem to be any penalty at all for a high magick affinity and some of the custom-built explosives are awesome. My favourites are the knock-out-gas and the gift-wrapped time-bomb.
