Problem with Maug quest in T'sen Ang

Well this time around I went for a mage instead of a tech character, but I also wanted to see how many folowers I could get so I made a very persuasive mage :smile: I also wanted to see how soon into the game, while playing good aligned and without much sacrifice, could I get to T'sen Ang ... so I went full out for the main quest with just a bit of side questing to build up levels, I ended up geting to T'sen Ang already too high, level 30, so that means my Zen-Virgil is 5 levels bellow me now has I got him back immediatly after he left, the wanders of Teleport :smile:

Now the problem is, I was geting too close to 31 and wanted to minimize the level distance between my character and Virgil so I didn't do anything else in T'sen Ang but taking care of the necessary business and leave... afterwards I went back to do the Maug quest and I can't!!! I do get the quest from him, but I don't really have the apropriate text, it just say "I'll see what I can do...", the quest shows up in my log in Blue wich means it should be active, but no matter in what way I choose to dispose of the wizard I just can't get the quest to complete. Trying to talk to Maug again will only get me the same conversation again and again, like it was the first time I was talking to him.

Anyone else encountered this one ?

Btw, it's 1st time I am playing with 7 followers (6 + Dog) and the slowdowns in some areas are really making me consider just dropping them all and continue on my own!

 

You're not supposed to kill the wizard next to them, you're supposed to kill someone a couple of screens away to the left. Not sure if you knew that or not, but he is the guy your supposed to kill.

 

Besides, the person next to them is not a wizard, the wizard is the robed one in a house in the other side, the one near a magically locked chest(don't bother with this one, the item here is hexed, wonder why the lock). After you kill that mage, they will TRY to kill all the elf in the city including Zann if u didnt get her.

 

doh, now I feel dumb

Since the guy next to the ogres is mistreating them I just assumed he was the one I needed to dispose off... dumb ass wizard me... This was my 1st attempt at actually doing this quest, my previous 2 characters were evil aligned and actually made fun of the ogres instead of considering helping them out :smile:

I'll see about that wizard, or maybe not, just reached Thanatos. Btw, has anyone ever found the missing princess ? The daughter of the king of Cumbria that suposedly went to Caladon ? I spoke to the prince in Caladon but from what he tells me he's also looking for her... I tried seing if I could get some dialog pertaining to her in any of the cities but so far no luck.

 

I've only heard about this quest, never done it myself. I think she's near a shipwreck of some sort, and died or something. Might want to check the walkthroughs on this site.

 

Lost princess

Well I did just that and found that she can be found at a place called Razor's Point, also have some coords for it. I'd rather have someone in the game tell me about it though, I find it weird I haven't, has up yet, found any clues for this place, either that or I am missing something. Considering this is my 3rd time through the game one would think I'd have stumbled on it by now :=) Then again I had never done the Maug one either :=)
